The short version: we keep the details you give us when you enquire or trade with us, we use them to serve you and to keep proper accounts, we never sell them, and this website sets no cookies - which is why there is no cookie banner to click.

Who we are

D G Jones Agri Ltd (trading as D G Jones Agri), registered in England and Wales under company number 05000121, of Gelli Crugiau, Cefn Gorwydd, Llangammarch Wells, Powys, LD4 4DP, is the “controller” of the personal information described on this page. What we hold, and why

Enquiries. When you use the enquiry form or contact us, we hold your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and your message - so we can answer you and deal with the enquiry.
Trading records. If you buy from us or run an account, we keep the records any merchant must: contact details, orders, deliveries, invoices and payments.
Website logs. Our hosting provider records technical data, such as IP addresses, in security logs that help keep this site safe.
Anonymous statistics. We count visits to this site with TelemetryDeck, which anonymises the data on your own device before anything is sent. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and cannot identify you.

Our lawful bases for the above are preparing or performing a contract with you, our legitimate interests in running the business, and compliance with our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of carefully chosen services to run the business. Where they handle personal information for us, they act on our instructions:

Formspree (United States) - passes website enquiry forms to our email. Transfers outside the UK are protected by recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Google Workspace - our business email, where enquiries arrive.
Cloudflare - hosts this website and sees technical data such as IP addresses in its security logs.
TelemetryDeck (Germany) - the anonymous visitor statistics above.
SumUp - processes card payments at the counter.
Sage - our accounting software, holding customer and supplier account records.

We may also share information with our professional advisers (such as our accountant), with our bank when handling payments, and with authorities where the law requires it. We never sell your details, and we do not send marketing.

How long we keep things

Enquiries - up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
Trading and accounting records - at least six years, as tax law requires.

Cookies

This site sets none - no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no tracking. That is why there is no cookie banner. If our hosting provider ever needs to set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from an attack, that kind of cookie is exempt from consent rules.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to or restrict how we use it, by emailing sales@jones-agri.co.uk.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab)).

Changes

If how we handle personal information changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
